Pleasant walking in the countryside with a variety of birds to see. I recommend a visit in early summer to look at the large numbers of flowering orchids here.
On Tuesdays, the Friends of Ashington Woods Green woodworking group meets here at the woods to practise their wood carving skills, and pass on this knowledge to anyone who wishes to learn. The woods are a beautiful setting in which to learn this ancient craft.
